Dr. Doug Daugherty and Dr. Tim Steenbergh, both psychology professors at Indiana Wesleyan University, share their expertise in the field of counseling as it relates to your relationships with your clients. By focusing on creating a culture of client feedback, your client relationships will become more authentic so that real change is possible. Drs. Steenbergh and Daugherty discuss how to easily integrate a simple and practical feedback process into your regular interactions with clients so that you can be aware of clients’ needs and challenges as well as your own effectiveness in helping them make wise financial decisions. Dr. Douglas Daugherty is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He is a Professor of Psychology and Addictions Counselor at Indiana Wesleyan University, while serving as a program evaluator for several problem-solving courts and treatment programs. Dr. Daugherty also provides clinical supervision, assessment of missionary candidates and other consultation services. His current research interests include positive psychology, spiritual formation and philosophy of addiction. He is the founder of Grace House for Recovery, a faith-based recovery home in Marion, Indiana.
Tim Steenbergh, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology at Indiana Wesleyan University and co-founder of LifeData, LLC. In his role as a professor, he is committed to helping students understand the unique purposes God has for their lives, and the importance of developing their gifts for His kingdom. Dr. Steenbergh and his partners at LifeData have been creating new smartphone technology that allows researchers, pastors, and other professionals to better understand and encourage growth in the lives of those they serve.
