Stewardship Decisions: Legacy
In session twelve of the Theology of Money course, Randy Alcorn teaches about legacy issues, such as training children to manage money, leaving money to children, raising stewards and givers, teaching children self-control, using rewards as incentives, and teaching gratitude. He concludes the course by offering some final thoughts on questions such as, “should giving always be kept a secret?” and “Is it ok to cosign a loan or charge interest?” and “what are practical guidelines to control spending?”
Randy Alcorn is the founder and director of Eternal Perspective Ministries (EPM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching biblical truth and drawing attention to the needy and how to help them. Before starting EPM in 1990, Alcorn co-pastored for thirteen years Good Shepherd Community Church outside Gresham, Oregon. Randy is a best-selling author of over 30 books including Heaven; The Treasure Principle: and the 2002 Gold Medallion Award (now Christian Book Award®) winner for fiction, Safely Home. Alcorn resides in Gresham, Oregon with his wife, Nanci, and their Dalmatian, Moses. The Alcorns have two married daughters, Karina and Angela, and are the proud grandparents of five grandsons.
